In 2006, VACC created a student competition to promote and promote the Australian automotive industry.
Previously known as Target 2020 and Target 2030, this contest is aimed at promoting automotive careers and the Australian automotive industry.
Participants are asked to present their interpretation of a vehicle for the future, competing in three categories: Model Making, Designing/Drawing and Essay Writing.
The shortlisted entries will be judged by representatives from Australia?s big three local manufacturers, namely, Ford, Holden and Toyota.
Prizes for the Model-Making and Design categories are $3000 for each winning student and $3000 for each winning School/College or University.
Prizes for the Essay categories are as $500 for each winning student and $500 for each winning School/College and Institution.
The Awards Ceremony will take place in Federation Square, Victoria, on Thursday 20 June.
